Gray wolves are the largest member of the dog family. They are legendary because of their howl. Howling is a way to attract attention from its pack. Gray wolves mostly never attack humans. They mostly eat meat but have a sweet tooth for berries. Gray wolf life span in the wild is 6 to 8 years. From the wolf’s head to its tail is 36 to 63 inches the gray wolf weighs about 40 to 175 pounds. Gray wolves are on the endangered list. They can live almost anywhere on the planet. Their group name is called a pack. Gray wolves are the most common of all wolves. every wolf in the pack takes care of the pups. the can eat up to 20 pounds a day. they can run 12 miles. They can have up to 8 pups. the alpha are the ones who have pups. the pups leave the pack at 2 years of age.
